Busy Busy Busy

Grandma and Grandpa Reed ended up staying for another couple of days, and we got to have dinner with Great G&G Reed too. Four generations of Reeds here. Just a quick update of some of the 400+ photos they took :)

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Reed

This week mom is away for work and Grandma and Grandpa Reed are up from South Carolina watching Addyson. They have been having a lot of fun while Jeff is at work during the day. Today they went shopping and bought some fun stuff for miss Addyson. They got a little tikes car, and stuffed animal, and some gardening gloves that were just her size. This way she doesn't have to wear mom's gloves when helping pull weeds.

Viva Las Vegas and Kings Island with MWV

Hello from Las Vegas and Kings Island. Kyley and I went to Vegas with 4 other couples last weekend for a long weekend trip. This was Kyley and Marie's first trip out there, and I was surprised at how much fun they had. This picture below is a shot of the strip at "Old Vegas" which was smaller than I thought it would be, but a great time none the less. We went to 2 shows "KA" and the Beatles "Love". I enjoyed LOVE much more, because I got sleepy during KA...lol. We spent the first night gambling and basically stayed up for 26hrs, 1 day by the pool, 1 day walking around looking at all the hotels, 1 day at the Gold Coast, and an evening at old Vegas and checked out the statosphere casino. All in all good weekend, Kyley and I came home $100 up gambling wise, that isn't to say we didn't blow it all on other stuff while we were there. :)

We went to Kings Island for the MWV picnic, we were a little late due to rain, but we spent about 4 hrs there and I think that was plenty of time for Addy, she was out before we even left the park. Addy rode about 6 rides, and mom and dad realized that Kings Island is no longer about us, but more about the kids...and that is just fine with us. It rained a few different times, so we got wet and decided to head home.

Addyson got a new "slightly-used" kitchen set, it is like a retro kitchen, pretty cool stuff. Supposed to be an early xmas present, because we couldn't wait to see her play with it, what weak parents she has!

Another busy week

Addyson is now transitioning from the nursery to the toddler room at Daycare. She seems to be doing really well so far. She only gets 1 nap a day now, to prepare for the 1 nap in the toddler room. This is going okay, but she has been really tired around lunch time. Addyson is saying more things like "No" but is also saying other words too that we like to hear like duck, kitty, doggy, meow, ruff ruff, up, down, YES, more, please, and drink.

I am a little stinker!!

Kyley and Mal are taking a class at the YMCA, and they stink afterwards especially the stinky shoes!!

Addyson is down to 1 nap a day now that she is transitioning to the toddler room from the baby room. I guess she did this at lunch the other day too at daycare. Falling asleep while eating. Maybe a little cruel getting it on video, but we thought it was too funny not to share.

Summer Fun!!!!

Last weekend we went to Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Steve's farm for a sleepover.

It was a hot one last weekend, but we managed to keep cool with our cool drinks.

This is the ride home from the Magoteaux reunion, it was a hot one, and from the looks of Addyson it was HOT in the car too. We looked back and saw this, so had to share.
Mike and Diane brought thier jumpy again this year, and Addyson absolutely loved bouncing around in it. I think Mom kind of liked bouncing too!

Drees' also have a pond, and this year we put Addyson in with her swimmy diapers. Maybe next year we will bring swimsuit and floaties. She really does enjoy the water, but Dad wasn't about to get in there and get soaked.

Geneva-on-the-Lake

Well we have had a busy week this week. We took a small 4 day vacation up to the Cleveland area to Geneva-on-the-Lake, near Ashtibula, OH. We stayed at the Lodge which was great. It was also nice to just get away for a few days and spend time with our little family.

On our way up to Cleveland on Wednesday we went to the Cleveland Metro Zoo. We unfortunately were pushed out by rain late in the day. It was okay though because it was incredibly hot and muggy. We were ready to make our way to the hotel.

On Thursday we went to the Cleveland MetroPark Farm Park. Yes, we got to see alpacas, sheep, goats, cows, well...you get the idea. It was actually a pretty neat place, you could milk a cow and everything. However, Addyson wasn't ready for all of those animals. She liked viewing them from a distance, not up close.

Friday we spent the day at the Lodge. We enjoyed walking around the town, around the lake and even went swimming. It was a nice relaxing couple of days and very much needed and enjoyed by all three of us.

This picture is taken from the patio outside of our room, which looked out onto Lake Erie and onto the patio of the restaurant. On Friday night we were able to sit on our patio and listen to the one-man band playing a variety of music. Unfortunately it was well past Addyson's bedtime and she wasn't able to stay up and dance to the music.

We found out that Addyson is ticklish when you grab her upper thigh, we just couldn't stop doing it.....too stinking funny. We giggled a lot this weekend!

We found another way to make Addyson laugh -- just ask her to race you! One of these days she may stop laughing enough to win.

Hopefully we will make it back someday. Geneva-on-the-Lake is a nice destination close to home. Perhaps mom and dad can make a trip back to visit the 20-some wineries in the area!
