Week 52

Week 52! Can you believe it!!

We managed to take a picture every week of the first year with exception of, I think, 36 because we were on vacation in Norris Lake and forgot to take that photo. Not bad Mom and Dad! See the video at the bottom for a recap of all the weeks.

Addyson's birthday is Saturday and we are having an Addy Bug Birthday Party. We are keeping our fingers crossed that everyone will be able to make it to Troy safely. And of course, we will post pictures of the big party. Hopefully we will have good cake-eating pictures.

We took off work and day care on Friday and took Addyson to the the Newport Aquarium. The weather started getting bad on the way home, but we made it before it got too crazy. She seemed to enjoy watching all of the fish swim by!

Week 51

uh ohhh...1 more week, and we are very excited. Addyson is only a week away from her first birthday. We will be having a party on Saturday to celebrate. Mom has already done a test birthday cake and cookies, Dad loves the testing part.

Addyson hanging out drinking a bottle, sort of looks like some of the guys I see sitting up at the bar. It is nice however that she can hold her own bottle, and we don't have to hold it the whole time.

This is a video of Addyson playing in the kitchen, she discovered the other day how to open a couple of drawers in the kitchen, so now she is trying other doors. This one is under the sink, so we have child locks on it. She luckily hasn't figured out how to do the child locks, and Dad sometimes forgets how to do them too.

Week 50

Week 50 was another busy one, so we don't have a great deal of photos to share this week. But don't fear, we will have a big week coming just 2 weeks away!! someone is going to turn 1 year old, hard to believe!! Dad is working on a little 1 year slide show to share, so stay tuned.

Addyson did not feel the greatest this weekend - as you can tell in the picture below. A bit of a cough, runny nose and a tooth pushing its way through.

Week 49

Week 49 went by in a flash...it was a quick week and time got away from us. Sorry for the late update to the blog this week. However, you may need to get use to blog entries that are not weekly - week 52 is quickly approaching.

Addyson is on the move! She crawls to whatever she can pull herself up on and then "cruises" around those things. She also just starting to stand up on her own. She only does it for a couple of minutes - a lot of fun when she realizes what she is doing.

Here is Addyson in her new clubhouse - the dish washer. So far she enjoys helping mom do the dishes - we are training her well. Unfortunately we weren't quick enough to take the picture of her actually crawling into the dishwasher. I'm sure there will be a next time.

Only one video this week, this was a lot more funny the first 15 times Dad did it. Ohhh, he could probably do this all day!!

Week 48

Week 48 was a cold one, we got some snow and finally decided to put on the snow suit and head out. Let's just say Mom and Dad were way more excited about it than Addyson. Hopefully next time she will be more excited about the snow. Enjoy the photos below.

Just before heading out, as you can see, Mom was really excited, Addyson not so much.

Her suit is just a little too big, we had to really pull her arms out of the sleeves, then we discovered that the sleeves can fold down and be like mittens, so we did this and it worked out great.

Aunt Mallorie came over and dressed Addyson up for going hunting, her camo sweatshirt and Grandpa's little huntin' buddy bib. Now she is all set for hunting.

Week 47

Happy New Year!!

It has been a nice quiet week between Christmas and New Years.

Grandma Rhonda watched Addyson so Mom and Dad could go out to see a movie and have dinner. The rest of the weekend we just played with our new toys from Christmas.

Week 46

Week 46 was the week of our First Christmas as a family!!

Addyson really had a great time all weekend and got lots of fun presents. Sorry for all the pictures and videos, trust me not all of them made it on here.

Week 45

Addyson is 45 weeks old, wow!!

She still has some teeth coming in, which explains the drool on her shirt.

Addyson had her daycare christmas party on Friday. Santa came and the kids had a little gift exchange between them. They also made us a christmas ornament with her Addyson's hand print in it. Here are some of the kids eating snacks.

Week 44

Week 44 has brought us joy with all the new and fun things we have going on.

Addyson is crawling quite a bit more and getting more adventurous around the house. Thankfully she really isn't getting into too much trouble...knock on wood.

So far she enjoys crawling to any piece of furniture and then pulling herself up. This weekend she started to play peek-a-boo with anyone around. It is really quite entertaining and she thinks she is big stuff! There is a video below - enjoy!
Addyson has also been improving her dance moves. This weekend we have been listening to more music than normal and she beebops right along with it. So far she doesn't have a favorite yet. The Chimpmunk Christmas song is near the top though - who doens't love Alvin!
She also has quite a few more teeth. She still just has 2 on the bottom. On the top she has one pretty much all the way through, one about half way through and then another started. She is a little bit cranky with teething but overall we cannot complain - she is one happy baby.

Addyson has also started to become much more vocal - getting into the higher octaves. Thank goodness her squeals are squeals of joy. I'm sure happy squeals are much easier to handle than mad squeals.

Perhaps by next week we will have a picture with Santa - we are happy to take bets on whether she will be smiling or crying. I'm hoping for tears of joy! ;)

Week 43

Week 43 has gotten a little more exciting with Addyson crawling quite a bit more and pulling herself up onto chairs and tables. I am sure she is going to start being quite the explorer. Going to have to batton down the hatches very soon!!

Dad was throwing a toy at Addyson and it would bounce up and hit her, then she giggles...I could do this all day!!! notice the mess in the back, she found out how to empty her toy box all over the house, now we just have to teach her how to put it all back in there!!
